Hey friends!
One day I was watching one of my sermons, well not specifically mine but you get the point. This sermon spoke about giving your all to what you are most passionate about and have a calling for. It talks about not letting your mind get in the way of your heart.
I know some of you are saying, “sometimes your heart can lead you wrong.” This is true. Sometimes putting your heart into something you really want may not turn out exactly how you wanted. But having that passion and putting in that true effort for something you really love can only happen if your heart is involved.
Diamond, where are you getting at? Glad you asked.
Put your heart into the things you are trying to accomplish. Put your heart into your business, your book, your content creation, and whatever else you have a vision for. When all is said and done, you are going to want to say you gave it your all by putting in the absolute maximum effort and passion into it.
Find out what really motivates you.
When starting my blog, I had to figure out my why’s. Why am I doing this? Who am I doing this for? What am I really trying to achieve?
I began writing down multiple why’s. I wanted to get away from the 9-5 jobs. Why? I got tired of clocking in for someone else. Why? I got tired of putting my time in someone else’s hands. Why? I wanted more time for my family. Why? I wanted to be involved in as much as I could with my baby and my man. All in all, I wanted more time with my family and later pass down something that will give them more time to focus on what they love.
Once I realized my why wasn’t just about me, my passion became more intense and I began to really put my heart into my blogging.
So, I challenge you to write down seven why’s. Why you are doing what you are doing? Figure out what truly motivates you and turn that into your passion. Allow this to fuel your flame. That way, when things are looking a bit rough, you will have something to look to as a reminder of why you are putting your heart into it.
Next time you think about giving up….
When you feel like things are not looking the way you wanted, ask yourself “did I really give it my all?” If it is something worth pursuing, you will want to make sure that you gave it the maximum effort before giving it up. I am a firm believer of some things are just not meant to be. But I am also a believer of faith without work is nothing. You have to have faith that your heart will push you to strive for that new business or that book you’ve been working on for years. But you have to work for it.
So, get to writing, get to planning, get to booking and get to work. Don’t forget to put your heart into it. Until next time,
Peace, Love, and Happiness.
