Hey friends.

One night, I felt the urge to do some intense stretching before bed. My back had been hurting from carrying my son throughout the day and getting chores done.

This day in particular, just felt harder. My mind was wandering about everything. What do I need to get done around the house? Oh gosh, did I yell too much? Was I being too insensitive to my partner? How can we develop healthier communication? I should really call and text my friends back. I need to set up a time to hangout.

So much was roaming through my head I became exhausted and overwhelmed just thinking about it. In my mind I had a million things to do with very little time to stop and catch my breath.

When the night was whining down, I decided to do some yoga. I noticed that I carried a lot of stress and pain in my lower back so I focused on poses that would help relieve that area.

As I began the stretches, I noticed how difficult it was for me to sit through them. I still had thoughts racing my mind from the day, plus everything just hurt. I couldn’t find much relief.

That is until I remembered to breathe through every stretch and pose. I took a deep breath in, leaned into my stretch and let go. I repeatedly practiced this breathing technique for the remainder of my stretches.

What started out as something I struggled to get through, I was soon able to find relief.

Sometimes we all forget to just stop and take a deep breath especially when we are struggling through our day. I’m here to remind you to breathe through that struggle.

Breathe and lean into what you are facing. See what kind of attention that struggle needs and fix it.

My back wasn’t just hurting from work, but I felt the stress being carried. I needed to find a way to release that stress if I wanted to feel some relief.

So, I encourage you to find a way to release your struggle and remember to breathe through.

Until next time,

Peace, Love, and Happiness.
